Hi! I have an HP Pavilion dv5-1299ee featuring a Intel C2D T9550 2.66Ghz, nVidia Geforce 9600GT, and 4 GB DDRII RAM 800Mhz. The Motherboard is Intel P45.

I would like to ask a few questions:

    1. Could I upgrade my DDRII RAMs with DDRIII RAMs? If not possible, Could I get DDRII RAMs that have speed of DDRIII? Or a way to make the DDRII RAMs Faster?

    2. Could I upgrade my CPU to Intel Core 2 Quad Exteme QX9300? Intel Core-i7 I7-820QM?

    4. Could I upgrade my GPU to nVidia GeForce 9800? or anything higher?

    no x3

Besides the technical impossibilities, you need to price out your wanted components, you will find that buying a new laptop with warranty is cheaper.

    1. no to DDR3, but to make the DDR2 ram faster you can flash a higher frequency and lower timmings with SPDtool and thaiphoon burner. Also you could overclock your FSB with setfsb.
I can help you with this if you want.

    2. P45 express chipset does support the QX9300.

    3. you went straight from 2 to 4, lol.

    4. Don't think so unless you have an MXM port in that notebook.

If you want a speed increase you're better off spending your money on a SSD than the CPU or memory.
