I was wondering what (FREE) programs are out there that give a print out or summary of the hardware components in your computer.
I prefer one that is OS independent (i.e. works on any OS) but if it only works in Windows, then I'd like to know of those ones, too. I hope to find one that runs/works in Linux but I understand most will probably be Windows-only or listed as such.
I recall one called 'Belarc Advisor' or something similar but are there any others? I prefer them to be relatively up to date if possible and the most accurate ones, too.
Thanks.

I dunno about Linux and all, you can try out PC Wizard 2008 (free), Everest Ultimate, and CPU-Z/GPU-Z (free).

Everest Home Edition would do the trick.

SiSoftware Sandra has a lot of information and benchmarking modules and includes a useful database of benchmark results.

It may be a little rough, but on Windows if you go to Start->Run->DxDiag->Save All Information, it tells you all your basic hardware and driver versions in a text file.
Programs that detect and list computer (spec) info?
