Just wondering what the best way to store a battery for a laptop is?
ive always thought, storing it at 50% charge and doing a cycle every month would keep it good (as i read on the forums), but after a year of pretty much non-use my battery now only lasts a half hour

im not expecting any miracle cure, but my last laptop battery lasted a good 3-4 years before it became only a backup for power failures, so what do you guys suggest?

    the laptops a E1505 with a 6 cell

Ideal would be 40% and stick in a ziplock bag and freeze or cool dry place.
When you need to use, let it thaw in room temp in ziplock bag if you freeze.
You dont need to charge every month.

Also do a few discharges after its been sitting for a while.
It will revive the battery to give you more run time, and maybe that what you need to do.
