    Hi all.

I wondered if anyone might know of a good way to help stop a laptops chassis from wearing where the paint wears off? Ive just got a new laptop chassis as the last one was falling to bits and its all nice and wear free... the last ones silver turned a very icky grey colour..

Are there any plastic stickers you can get to protect laptops? I was going to cut something out myself but wondered if there is something specific out there that should be used??

Sounds like you're talking about the palm rests.

Whenever I'm computing at home, I lay a small folded hand towel across the palm rest area. I've been doing this specifically to keep my hands cool. The side benefit is that it keeps the acids in your skin from discoloring the plastics.

Looks like it has it's usefulness, reminds me a little of grandma's vinyl covered furniture though. ;)
