    Hello Everyone,
I have an ASUS A53SV-TH71 (essentially a K53SV) and it comes stock with a 1366x768 screen. However, I would like to put a 1080p screen in it and I know ASUS usually uses very similar parts in their laptop models. I am aware that the ASUS N53SV is one of the models that comes with a 1080p screen in it, I was wondering if it would be possible to buy a replacement screen for the N53SV and put it in my A53SV. I know that the connectors are the same for the two monitors (both use a 40 pin connector), I am more worried about the physical aspect of putting it in... like will it fit. They are both 15.6 in. screens as well, the thickness is the main worry, but if someone thinks the actual display won't function in my laptop I would like to know why as well. Really want to do this upgrade but I would like to be absolutely sure beforehand. I am super knowledgeable with computers and computer hardware but because no one else has done this (I think), it can be hard to know if it'll work without just trying it. Thanks in advance for pondering upon my question.

My guess is probably, but I don't know. Have you looked through the hardware manuals for both models? And anything else you can find?
