Just in order on which is the best, i'm getting a new laptop and I need to know in what order these go in from best to worse, thanks a lot for all the help.

If the cards are of the same type, in general, the more memory the better. -
8400m GS is the "best". What computers are you looking at that have the 319MB and 383MB 8400m GS? My guess is some Sony models and the cards are actually 256MB of dedicated VRAM (with additional system memory allocation) - just a guess.

best in what sense ? X3100 is the best as I don't play games meaning it gives me enough of everything and is nice to my pocket(as well as the planet), cooler, quieter and has(or will soon have) open source linux driver.
