    Hello,

Firstly, I haven't found an adequate forum for this, so I guess it's OK to post here.

I would like to know what are the best procedures for keeping a laptop on storage (about 2 months), specially with regards the battery: should I store it with a fully charged battery or is better to empty it?

    Thanks.

Charge it to 40% (easier to dis-charge to 40% actually...).

    Remove it from the notebook.

Place in sealed plastic bag (ziplock...) with some dried packets of silica gel.

Do the same with notebook: if you have a plastic bag (sealable) that is big enough: wipe it clean - let dry and place in sealed bag with a few packets of silica gel.

(How do you know that the silica gel packets are 'dry'? Simple: put them in the oven at about 180 F for about an hour).

    Good luck.
