    Hi,

I just found out that my AMD Sempron 3300+ temperature seems kind of high. What you think? 50-55C in idle around 70C when playing. Pretty often Evest shows some 80C CPU Diode temp when I ALT+TAB from game.
    HD is 37C.

Am I paranoid or the temperature is too high?

I think your Ok, I went on AMD and tried to find the Max safe temp on your CPU and could not, but I have a Turion 64X2 and its Max is 203F/95C Core 2 are 212F/100C, now yours is not exactly the same but has to be close like 203F unless someone finds the specs I am pretty sure you are safe up to 194F/90C . When I installed NHC it detected my CPU and HDD and set to the default for shutting down. Think it will do the same for you. Seagate site says Max temp 149F/65C (seems high but who am I) your temp is very good.

My CPU Idle=126F/52C surfing and office=130F/54C to 140F/60C sometime heavy load 170F/77C
    HDD 126F/52C

In summer without AC outside temp gets up to 90F/32C will run cooler in winter.

Look into undervolting your cpu. Mine idled at 40*C and maxed out at 68-69. Undervolted it now idles at 34* and maxes out at 54-55.

I have undervolting question, I know it makes things run cooler but don't you loose CPU speed? Also TL-50 at 1.8 when undervolted confuses me because TL-50 is 1.6 stock? If you've tweaked your CPU and ATI card please tell me how since I have very similar.

Yes it's a 1.6 stock, but I have OCed it and undervolted it. And no it doesn't make you lose speed. That's "underclocking" meaning reducing the speed. You're looking for "undervolting" meaning reducing the voltage but keeping the same speed. Most manufacturers overvolt the cpus for stability purposes, but we can lower that # and still keep a very stable computer. I went down from 1.075 stock to 0.925 and kept the same speeds and didn't make it any less stable.

I used clockgen to OC the cpu, and winclk to tweak the integrated x1100 gpu.

If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me about it.
