    QX9300 vs. X9100

    Is there any real comparison data for these two processors ?

    not really (although if u dig around on the internet, youll find some), but we know for certain that the x9100 is faster gaming wise as most games cant utilise four cores, and the QX9300 is better for multitasking and other CPU intensive tasks. The quads would probably be more futureproof.

    Yes there is, but it is a comparison test done by intel and you can also check out the configurations details of the laptops used. Overall there are major improvements in almost all the fields of test.

    I'd go with the 9300.

    I doubt you'll see any decrease in performance with any current generation of games, and you're sure to see an increase in the next generation.

    They're both unlocked, so the QX9300 is a no-brainer. With the right undervolt you could probably get them to close to the same speed. In any notebook with decent cooling.
