Qosmio upgrade -MXM GPU?

Hi my friend has a Qosmio with a gtx 770m. We figured out that it was on an mxm card when we went to re-paste it (don't wait 5 years and until you cant play a game of rocket league without your laptop reaching tj max to re-paste everyone) So I was wondering what cards work to upgrade to? I know theoretically I could go and throw in a GTX 1080 but that is a little overkill and I doubt it would be able to cool such a card. But something along the lines and power of a GTX 1060 would be awesome the only problem would be one finding one on an mxm card and two figuring out if the gpu placement would line up with the heatpipe and cooler. So I figured i would check and see if anyone has done an upgrade to theirs and if so what card out of what did you use?
It would be really cool to upgrade this thing because it is a tank and no one else really makes a laptop like this one (even Toshiba doesn't make anything like it anymore.)

Any direction or advice you have would be much appreciated even if I don't take it.
