I need help. I am a fanatic game player and I can't decide between:
Quadcore: Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q6600 (4 x 2.40 GHz, 8MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB) & Dual Core: E6850 Core 2 Duo (2x 3,0 Ghz, 4MB L2 Cache, 1333 Mhz FSB). Please help me decide which one will be better for man who loooooves playing games. The graphic I am going to use in my laptop is NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX 512 MB. :D

Get a Core 2 Quad. That will probably help with Bluray and if you are a heavy multitasker. Also, it will futureproof your notebook for quad-threaded apps too. :D

The faster FSB and CPU clock might help you more in gaming. Most apps are not even ready for dual-core CPU advantage, so taking advantage of four cores might take a whole lot longer.

But Quad core is good if you're a multitasker.

Try and get E8400. Cheaper, faster and runs 20% cooler.

    Why buy the 8800GTX?
For the same price, you can get SLI 8800GTS 512MB which will perform better.

    And yes get the Quad.

EDIT: Just saw you edited it to show its for a notebook.
