I've got Qualcomm GOBI2000 WWAN mini PCI card in my new HP laptop. There was something on the receipt about Sprint, but I wonder if i could activate it w/ Verizon (have cellphone with them). Any experience / words on wisdom on this?

It depends on whether or not the card was locked to a specific carrier by HP. I don't know what they do - the Dell version (5620) is unlocked. There is also an issue when using the card with a GSM carrier (in the US, AT&T or T-Mobile) as the notebook needs a SIM slot for those carriers. This shouldn't be a problem with a modern notebook equipped with the card, but is worth mentioning for people who might want to install the card in an older notebook.
