I have one hp dv3020tx , wich comes with a T8300 , my question is if i can upgrade it to the X7900 without any problems
thanks

technicaly yes subject to Bios compatibility.
You could also upgrade to x9000, T9300, T9500.
But in my opinon you're better off using a fraction of the money necessary to buy the x7900 for RAM and HDD upgrades.
or better buy a new laptop or desktop with the money needed to get an intel X series.
Besides you won't notice a huge difference between 2.4 ghz and 2.8 ghz most of the time. -

^^^(naton) Agreed!
What do you do? Try and crack NASA's Computers? Why get it? Too much money? Buy Drugs? Why do you consider this? -
LOL POWERPACK, I second that just get the drugs that have arctic silver 5 they are cooler on average

Check this link it may save you a bit. They are selling the X7900 including shipment for $366.
ebay -
are you buying it to oerclock it?
It seems that the X7900 can reach 3.4ghz when overclocked
Edit 1:
you owe to read this:

Edit 2:
It is quite likely that your Bios won't have any option to allow the overclock of the X7900. So the only way to overclock will be through the use of overclocking software such as SoftFSB, ClockGen, SetFSB... but for these to work you need to have the right PLL.
So open up your laptop and check if its PLL is supported by any of overclocking software. If no one supports it, you won't be able to overclock.
