Hi just got my new dv6700 and did some 3D work. While rendering a model my core temps increased to around 70C for about three and a half minutes. I was just wondering what kind of damage that can cause, if any, in the long run.

    Any info would be great
    .Thanks

That temp is perfectly fine. No damage.

    80c+ is caution
90c+ is bad (will automatically downclock)
90-100c and your notebook will shut off

Slightly off topic, but if you often use your laptop for CPU intensive things, consider getting a cooling pad, as it can drop temps by 5C+ and prolong the life of the laptop.
