    Hi,

I'm considering buying a dell vostro 1500, the graphic card is a GeForce 8400MGS 128 Mo. I'm looking for a laptop with less possible heat, if someone has a laptop with this graphic card, is there away to know its temperature on normal usage (no gaming) with the panel control or something ? can some parameters be modified to have less performance and less heat ?

    Thanks for any information

Their are apps to monitor heat, there is an app to control the fans on DeLL's.

There is a few for the Dell to monitor and control fans. The first one that comes to mind is I8fanGUI. Rather that answers your question or not, is a different story.

Thanks for the answers. I'd like to know also the temperature of the 8400M GS when doing internet, reading video .. (not gaming) with its normal settings and, if it's possible, when its performance parameters are set minnimum values (frequncy etc..)
