I was wondering if I can put two 120GB 7200 rpm drives in Raid 0? And is a smart bay considered a normal Hard drive that this can be done with? Also do I have to pick this as an option when configuring my laptop? (These all pertain to the Alienware M15x

The M15x does not have a software or hardware based raid controller, so Raid is not possible in that laptop.
If you decide and get the smart bay, you can have two harddrives. Only thing is they will be two separate drives, without any raid capabilities.

    LOL.
Actually, if I were you , I`d use the smartbay for another battery and get a 7200 320GB hitachi.
