Not sure where to post this, hope this is the right spot but here is the situation...

I managed to snag a GL504GS from newegg over the black friday sales and I have it still in the box. My question is simple... are there any reputable places that apply Liquid Metal without voiding warrant? I did a light search and couldn't find much. I know I want it as a cooling solution but 100% not confident in my ability to do it myself.

Part of me just wants to set it back and get it off of HID evolution and eat the 200 dollar difference in price. But if there is an option to have the one I have now serviced for a decent price I'd like to keep what little savings I can.

To have LM applied without potentially voiding the warranty, you would need to purchase the machine from a boutique vendor that offers such a service, i.e as HIDevolution, Gentech and Xotic.

Tread very carefully here. A misstep may cost you the components inside.

This. It's not worth it to do it yourself IMO. Especially on a notebook that has very cramped components.

Yeah thanks all for the advice. Yeah I had no intention of doing the application myself, lol. Just was checking on if I needed to send my laptop back and get it from a seller that does the modifications on their end or if there was some option to have it done by a reputable third party.

But looks like I might just get it from HIDevolution and call it a day.
