What are the basic differences between the current laptop processors on the market? Which are the best for graphics and handling multiple applications?

    Your thoughts are appreciated!

There are 5 big notebook CPUs out right now:

AMD Sempron - Budget notebook CPU, good for basic uses.

    Intel Celeron - See sempron.

AMD Turion 64 - Only notebook CPU currently out with 64-Bit support. Good price/performance ratio.

Intel Pentium M - Battery minded pwoerful CPU. More expensive than Turion 64, but better battery life. Both are about the same in power clock for clock.

Intel Core Duo - Newest CPU out right now. Multithreaded and made for multitasking. Most expensive of the lot, with the ability to upgrade to Merom later, it makes it the most future proof of the lot.
