I have single 512mb ddr2 memmory on my sager and i want to buy another stick of memmory to fill the empty slot.
    What is better to buy:

    - another 512mb ddr for DualDDR
    or
    - 1024 and then to have 1536mb ram but no DualDDR.

If you want a whole extra 1gb, then go for it. The Dual Channel isn't a significant boost that you can actually see or feel. I'd say it's over rated- so you dont have to worry about it. With the new 1gb ram, you can always up another 1gb in the future for 2gb Dual Channel- that's what I'm running now.

More memory is always better, I'd get as much as you can. As madmike posted, dual-channel memory doesn't make a big difference in performance.

I'm going to move this to the Mods & Upgrades section - you will get more responses there. :)

You can run the 512MB and the 1024MB in dual channel, as far as I know.
