Hey there,
I'm currently looking for a RunCore SSD to serve 2 purposes:
1) Put it in a 15" laptop (G50VT)'s Mini PCI-e slot and see if it's possible to boot from it.
2) Put it in my first generation EEE 701 (the ones that had the Mini PCI-e connector soldered already)
I noticed that there are now 2 types of SSD:
1) RunCore PATA Mini PCI-e PCIe SSD for ASUS EEE PC 900A, 901, and 1000
2) RunCore Pro SATA 70mm Mini PCI-e PCIe SSD for ASUS EEE PC 900 and S101
Which SSD would be able to handle both my purposes?
i.e.
a) Is the Mini PCI-e in EEE701 SATA or PATA?
b) Is the Mini PCI-e in standard laptops SATA or PATA?
Thanks!

neither... they're both mini pci-e... sata and pata are other interfaces. wrong product description

The description is correct they have 2 different Bus's one SATA one PATA. The 701 needs the PATA because it does not have a SATA bus.

Correction I just got news that the 701 does have a SATA bus as well as PATA so the SATA version will work on the 701.
