    Hi
I've been looking for a portable hard that can backup some data in case of hard failure. I didnt really need high capacity but figured that most external hard go over 50 bux.

Well i found this one on ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.com/120GB-USB-Exter...rnal?hash=item3a5105bd0d&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

the price is cheap but i am skeptical of this hard drive. They only say its internal hard drive is from Seagate. Does this mean they just made a external hard drive by themselves with internal drive from Seagate?

If this is not good choice, is there any hard that i can get for around $50?

    Thanks in advance.

Well....there are a ton of options but I would recommend to get one in which the external enclosure connects to the computer through an eSATA cable.

USB 2.0 would be a bottleneck and reduce your transfer speeds, which would be important if you're consistently transferring very large files.
