Hey everyone,
Hoping you guys can advise me on something real quick. About to bring my lappy in for RMA. I have an optical disk drive caddy on the way and figured I might as well use the RMA as a good time to reinstall my OS. I've a 40GB Corsair Force SSD ready to go for the OS but I was wondering. If I put windows on the SSD and put that in my main hard drive slot, then use my 500 GB as an external for now via usb, will I have any problems just taking the HDD out of the enclosure and sticking it into the ODD later? Or will the drive letters be messed up?
Thanks

There won't be any problems since the drive letter can easily be set within Windows. If there is a "conflicting" drive letter in use, it should just default to the next available one.

I have similar drives configuration in my GX740. Intel SSD in HDD bay and Seagate HDD in optical bay caddy. Everything works flawlessly. Drives' letters can be changed in Windows, as mentioned above.

So I won't have to delete and reinstall programs? Just want to double check as to not cause problems later

Nope, you should be good.
