    Hi all,
I have ordered ASUS W3V, some say it gets warm, though not too much. I think it is not bad to have a cooling pad for about 20$, BUT, this model does not have any hole or vent in the bottom. SO, i want to know cooling pads just make the bottom of a laptop cool, by air flow, or there should be vents that air can go through inside the laptop? In other words, for a solid (without any hole) bottom notebook, can a cooling pad be helpful ?
    thanks

A cooling pad basically cools a notebook by blowing air on it. It will help even if your laptop does not have vents in the bottom.

    Hi everyone
I own an Acer Aspire 1711, and my major problem is the noise from the ventilation system it hosts three fans).
I was thinking of replacing the fan but it looks quite coplex.
    Any comments or solutions?

You can remove one of the covers, one might be over the CPU, chipset, or grahpics card. If you have it blow directly on that, you will get very effective cooling.
