Ok so I have a $50 coupon that I can use on Dell for anything, and I am in need of a memory upgrade. I noticed that the cheapest 512mb dimm I can find (while still being overpriced) says that it is meant for IBM upgrades. But from what I can tell its just a 200 pin DDR533 stick of memory. Can anyone else confirm that this should work in my E1405:

As long as the E1405 supports PC2-4200, I can't imagine it having a problem.

www.crucial.com for all your memory needs

You could buy 1- 1gb stick for almost the same price at newegg.com . I'm a bit hesistant to say yes/no on if that will work with your system - dell is normally good about listing the compatible systems on the memory modules.

Trust me I know and I would have gone newegg but I have a coupon that'll take $50 of the price of this, making it like $15.
