Hello all, I have a Toshiba L305-5915 that I got for christmas from wally world. I bought it for school, but the upgrade bug bit me and I started to research cheap ways to make the laptop a little more snappy. I have already installed more ram and that helped a little.
Last night, I bought an Intel T3400 processor after reading that it would work with my GL40 chipset. I also purchased a 320gb 7200rpm drive. Question is, how hard is it to replace the processor in a Toshiba laptop? Thanks in advance.

Nobody? Did I post this in the wrong section?

You'd probably find the Toshiba section more helpful as they'd know how your particular laptop comes apart and what needs to come out to get to the cpu. Many laptops have an access panel that can be removed, then you unbolt the heatsink and remove it, twist a locking device on the cpu and pull the old one out and replace it. But some notebooks don't have CPU access without removing the entire bottom cover.

You may post your message to the "Toshiba" subsection.. They might help you better...
