I was wondering if most screens have similar compatible connectors, Ive worked on computers and i know alot of the ones ive seen are similar and can be separated into 3 different groups. There's a flat ribbon cable type, A thick plastic long end, and a thick plastic short end.
So my question is can i add any screen that matches a similar profile to a laptop and can i add more then one.
I want to add a smaller screen on the back of my laptop so that i have a smaller display seen when the laptop is closed.
Any way to do this.
(I also plan on making it touch screen and have my drum pad controller built into the back for comfortable music production on the go. Its twelve pads so i want to put six on each side and make it also work for emulators.)![]()

For the most part, no. The touch screen is whole other story. Touch screens have a touch surface added to the screen to give them the touch capability. Once you add that, it's unlikely to fit. There's very little room to maneuver in there.

It's possible. But it'll most likely be ugly.
