Hello, I recently purchased:
- OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2-667 SODIMM Notebook Memory - $159.99
from www.outpost.com. Surprisingly, I received it a few days ago (fast shipping yay) and I had a question about the sticker on the RAM modules. They are still in the package (I haven't broken the seal yet) but there is one sticker on each of the modules that has the PN number, specifications, and name of the RAM on it. It also has a note that reads "warrenty void if removed". I thought that the little black things on the RAM were the parts that got very hot. But I am not going to remove the sticker because I don't want to void the warrenty on them but I was wondering if it was safe for the sticker to be on there. Thanks.

Yep, its fine to leave it as is. I've never removed the stickers from the ram, and the labels show no sign of burns. Besides, the ram will not be refunded if it is damaged (as in missing labels).

Yes, it is safe for the sticker to be there, so you don't need to worry at all.

Thank you both very much for your fast responses. The sad thing is that I bought a 500GB external hard drive, a Logitech G7 mouse, and the 4GB of RAM and I don't even have my laptop yet... It's supposedly "in production" right now...
