Does it make noticeable difference when you watch a Blue Ray Movie by just using the screen with your laptop? How big is the screen and how fast is the processor of your laptop?

I have 2 blu-ray drives in my lappy. I have a 2.6Ghz dual core AMD Opteron, for an intel equivalent, would be their core 2 duo E6700 @ 2.66Ghz. I have a 17.2" WUXGA 1920x1200 res screen, and a beefy 512mb Quadro FX2500M GPU.

You would not notice any real difference by having a blu-ray drive, other than you can burn them. The overall quality of the movie is determined by your graphics card and screen, not the blu-ray drive.

Thank You. I have GeForce Go 7400, 64 MB Dedicated Video RAM + 64 MB System RAM = 128 MB total shared RAM. 13.3" inch (1280x800 native resolution). 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo. 3 GB RAM.

Is my laptop (it's a Sony SZ) good enough to play Blu-ray or is the video card too slow to play the disc at smooth frame rate?
