I have 2 500gb samsung 850 msata SSD. I am thinking of getting a newer laptop with a Nvidia 1070 or 1060 but they all come with m.2 slots now.

Is there a converter that can do msata to m.2 converter. I dont want to send money on getting new m.2 SSD when I already have two of them.

This might work. It looks to be mSATA SSD to M.2 slot and not the other way round. However, you need to check two aspects in the computer: (a) Available width each side of the slot as an M.2 card is 22mm wide and mSATA is 30mm wide; and (b) height clearance above the slot as the mSATA card effectively sits on top of the M.2 mounting.
