ok so the lenovo y710 had a major hdd architecture flaw in it, you cant re-size the c dive on the two partitioned system drive. as well as my app dive on my laptop is filling up (this is the second partition).

so im thinking of upgrading from a 250gb to a 500gb drive and i have a few questions.

so my plan is to take the new 500gb and partition it the way i want with the c drive being a lot larger. after i would use clonezilla to make a bit for bit clone of the c drive to the new c partition and do the same with the app partition. and then just swap the drives out.

my question is would this work? would it keep the proper dive lettering? do you guys see any possible snags in this plan?

    Thanks
