Hello all:
I have a quick question about notebook memory...
I had 4GB of memory in my Dell XPS M1530 for about 2 weeks up until I decided to return it. I now have my eyes set on the new Dell Latitude XT and I'm wondering if I could simply put a 2GB module, which was in the M1530 originally, in my new Latitude without encountering any problems.
I'm pretty sure the memory is compatible; it's just a matter of knowing whether or not notebook RAM is reusable. Correct?
Thanks!

The computer may not like using second-hand materials, and might complain a little, but if you just stick it in that sucker, it'll have no choice but to use it.

Yeah make sure to stick it in there and quickly close the cover, otherwise if you wait too long the computer might reject the used ram and you'll have to do it again.
But in all seriousness, the ram will work fine. -

before you install it in there open up the command prompt and type in
c:/ramchange/(the brand of your ram)/(and how much space you have)
make sure you have internet connection because it will connect to the manufactures site. then it will pop up if it will accept it.
p.s. dont tell it your using second hand ram
p.s.s. im joking it will work fine as long as the pin and the ddr2 is the same -

as long as we're all just kidding around..
it's really amazing how computer geeks love to jump on any opportunity to sound funny! ...failing to take into account the quality and creativity of their joke. but who cares, right? we're all behind our computer screens, eh? why not?
haha. all in good fun, gentlemen.
Quick Question: Can I reuse notebook RAM?
