I just installed my Crucial M4 128GB in my M14x and my stock 500 GB HD is in the optical drive now. The original HD has windows already on it, however I need to run windows on the SSD, how should I go about doing this??

Either do a drive copy (you need to have less than 128GB data on your 500GB old drive) or a fresh install to your SSD.
I would recommend the latter.

Start here since you have no optical drive

You could do that also. Maybe much easier for you

I invested in a 35$ USB DVD drive.. use it for all my computers.

I installed windows on my Crucial M4 128GB on my M14x and it went smoothly, however I can't connect to internet, my screen resolution maxes out at 1028x768 and I have no idea what the heck is going on, also the alienware windows startup screen is gone, its just normal windows one, if anyone is available on google chat that would be greatly appreciated.

yes you can uninstall windows off the 500gb after you get everything running on the ssd. Remember to get you pictures, music etc off of the 500gb before you erase it.

drivers. and did you make recovery discs? that probably would've saved some headaches. and you probably should've kept this in your other thread. no need to make threads for every single related problem you have.

Ok but read the previous thread I can't get it working

recovery discs from your hdd. put your hdd and optical back and make a recovery disc. or ^^^ do that and download drivers onto a flash drive or something. at least get the network driver on something external then you should be able to get the rest from asus website.
