Hey, I need to order a power supply for this gateway PC, and the only place I have found it so far is a site I have never heard of.

    http://www.ascendtech.us/index.asp

Anyone know anything about them, they look reputible, and they are "verisigned secure" (that might not amount to much though). They really haven't asked for any information or done anything to set off any alarms, but just being cautious.

    From BBB ( http://www.cleveland.bbb.org/reports/newsearch2.asp?ID=1&ComID=0312000006000898)

"Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to unanswered and unresolved complaints. The company has resolved a few complaints presented by the Bureau; however the Bureau did not receive a response to other complaints."

I would be very careful if I were you....

by the way, what "Verisign secured" means is that they are an actual business and not some thugs, but tells you nothing about how dependable they are.

try eBay. Buying from people with good feedback is fairly safe.

Alright, this is a problem, I can't find ANY other stores (other than ones I would never even risk) that have it for less than 80 bucks. I might stick my neck out for this one, most of the complaints were for them selling people parts that were refurbished or something and saying they were new (which for 30 bucks I couldnt care if it was either/or).

For $30 you might try. Just charge it on a credit card, so you can cancel the charge if you don't get what you want.

Yeah, thats what I'm doing. It sucks being under the age of 18 and trying to handle money online, since I can't have a debit or credit card its near impossible to get anything done (I have to use my grandparents all the time, then pay them in cash). Maybe I'll get one of those visa gift card things, you can use them like a credit card can't you, it just has a set amount of money like a gift card.
