    does brand name matter? is there a real good ram out there, or are all of them basically the same?

    how much extra ram should i put in a laptop with Vista in order for it to run properly?

    How much should i spend on ram?

    Instead of sending you to a thread, RAM is the same it all meets a certain standard and the rest is marketing. Some might overclock better or so they claim. Buying from a good retailer and a good warranty are what are important. Only about 3 company's actualy make it, maybe 4, but Ma & Pa ain't making it.
