You can try lubricating them using silicone spray (CRC, Jig A Loo, Penray)

Just spin them by hand for 1 minute before putting back into laptop

I don't think there's aftermarket fans for sager, ask your reseller maybe

Also, try cleaning for dust and repasting to reduce temps

The fans on my Mythlogic P-170em are not loud at all. My roommate's old Macbook and my HP both have louder fans. I don't think Myth puts in different fans so maybe my perception is different.

Yes, I am 100% sure some different resellers in different countries put fans of different brands in Clevo laptops.

May account for the difference of opinion on how loud they are... Usually they use A-POWER which I think are pretty noisy.
Not sure how you could find more info on this however.

You can use any laptop fan you want BTW.
You will have to change the pinout of the plug unless its a clevo fan which is very easy. The hard part would be finding one that fits or making one fit and mount correctly.
It might not be so difficult though. What you could do is cut out the center of the old and the new fan, just the part where the fan is mounted, so you are just left with the shroud of the 2 fans. Then, put the new fan in the old shroud, find a way to secure it with toothpicks and tape or something.

I'm sure if you used some nice Forcecon fans or something they would run quieter.

It will be clevo sourcing from multiple vendors otherwise resellers would tout it as a feature of their machines.

I fly large turboprop planes so my perception is probably a bit skewed. That and my hearing is probably not the best. I'll check out the brand of fans a little later.

The Sager NP9170 was only released a couple months ago.

I doubt any Clevo builders or resellers change out fans. Laptop fans are typically pretty specific dimensions and specs and frequently specially manufactured as part of the fan assembly, bezel, etc. Although I have found Clevo fans to be reasonably quiet. At full speed they are loud but they move a LOT of air. Just a side effect of massive air volume movement in the size of the fan. Always a tradeoff.

Are the fans supposed to blow air out at the same rate?

One fan is semi loud and blows cool air out at a moderate rate in comparison with the opposite fan blowing warm air at a much slower rate...
For clarification purposes, its the rear left fan that's slow and warm.

I'm thinking that one fan is improperly wired or something of the sort.

I think there are some software that let you control the speed of the fans and let you make your own parameters on when the fan is gonna go on full speed, 50% speed etc

I understand that the gpu is on the left side, which will usually get more warmer than the right, but my main concern is the air being blown, it is significantly weaker than the right.

The fans are a different size and run independently of each other. If only the GPU is hot, only that fan will ramp up. When you are staring at your monitor the GPU fan is on the right side and CPU on your left (just feel for the subwoofer). The GPU fan is a bit larger as you can see in this picture, which makes sense because the GPU has a higher tdp.

I see. I am concerned about the fans on the opposite side of the subwoofer. The subwoofer side runs cool and fast, and the opposite is warm and ambient.

I apologize OP, I may have stolen the thread
