My GX70 apparantly supports RAID and also has two "2.5 hard disk slots available so I was thinking about upgrading to Crucial M500's or Samsung 840EVO 2x120GB Raid0 array.

Will it work fine? If so, what kind of performance should I expect? The notebook is equipped with AMD's A10-5750M CPU.

+ I made a mistake in the topic title = it should be GX70 not 740!

If the system supports it, it will work, but RAID-0 is generally not recommended as your risk of data loss goes way up.
