I have 2X1GB PC4300, AMD 1600Mhz HT (FSB).
Int Buff'd iSSE2 Memory Bandwidth : 3954 MB/s
Float Buff'd iSSE2 Memory Bandwidth : 3976 MB/s
I've seen two Intels and AMD hangs better on this (RAM) than against C2D (CPU), one reason why I wanna see.

I'll post once dell gives me my laptop. But for now I can only test my PC and thats not a fair comparison.

In addition to the stack of results I posted in this thread, I attach one which I measured in the Samsung Q70 (Intel 965, 2 x 1GB PC5300 + 8400M G).
Int Buff'd iSSE2 Memory Bandwidth : 4354 MB/s
Float Buff'd iSSE2 Memory Bandwidth : 4324 MB/s
Is the extra speed due to the dedicated graphics or did Samsung achieve better optimisation of what are essentially standard parts?

Thats my standard every day running at 700Mhz running on a Nforce 680i Motherboard.
Int Buff'd iSSE2 Memory Bandwidth : 7339 MB/s
Float Buff'd iSSE2 Memory Bandwidth : 7354 MB/s
I'll tigten up some timings and see what I can get -
with a bit of tweaking I managed to get this still at 700mhz. I think this is the fastest I can get at 700mhz while still stable. Any more and I stat to get strange things happening. I could push my ram voltage higher but I dun think it will help much.
Int Buff'd iSSE2 Memory Bandwidth : 7576 MB/s
Float Buff'd iSSE2 Memory Bandwidth : 7566 MB/s
Also what are your scores for Bandwidth efficiency. Its listed in Sandra when you scroll through all teh resuts mine is normally between 64% & 66% an no matter what I do I can't seem to get over 70% efficency.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 6, 2015 -
You are right Ben, not fair! I got 75% when running 1 stick. W/2 I get 46%.
-
hmm well I'd say the efficency drop is why your not seeing the perfomace gain from the dual channel but I'm not sure why it would drop off like that with the second stick :s
-
Ben I need to make clear that with two sticks I run dual channel and bus goes from 64 bit to 128 bit twice the bandwidth and my actual throughput is 30% more than w/1 stick. But why can't I get 70% with 2 sticks? What's up? 128 bit bus 1600Mhz FSB 533Mhz RAM? I don't get it and john's #'s make mine look normal. Why are yours so high?
And I meant bottom left 2nd right is clipboard. -
Also I attempted to set my CPU's FSB to 800mhz and ram to 667mhz to try and simulate current laptop prcessors but my system wouldn't boot like that up so i have no results from that :s
