I just got my new HP Pavilion zv5325ca...Is 512MB RAM enough...??? Thinking of upgrading it to 1 GIG.

I'll be using it to watch DVD's/listen to MP3's and Surf the Net.

Also does the make/brand of the RAM make a difference. (Kensington, K-Byte)

    Thanks!

for what you will being doing 512MB will be great! Only reason to get more is if you are a big gamer or doing demanding work on the computer, dvd's and internet are no problem with 512MB

    I agree with DaGreek,
for doing the basics like you mentioned 512MB is more than plenty. In fact I bet if you ran all three of these DVD, MP3 and surf the net at the same time and look at your free memory you will be using less than 1/2 of that 512MB. As far as the make and brand of memory, yes it does make a difference; I would not buy the cheapest memory I could find.

I asked because my DELL Dimension (Desktop) 8100 @ 256MB is SLOW. After playing around with this I figured 512MB is alright...for now. :D
