    Hi all,
I've got an HP NC4000 Pentium M 1.7Ghz and 512MB RAM. I decided to go for a 1GB so I order 2 x 512MB Samsung sticks over ebay with description like SODIMM DDR 333mhz, PC 2700. However, after installing them into my Lappy, it doesnt boot at all and it still works fine with the old RAMs which are an HP 256MB DDR333 and a 256MB Samsung DDR PC2100.
Could you please tell me how to get it work or it got the wrong RAM? I used the crucial website to get the detail of my supported RAM and it's exactly the same what I got. Is it the problem with my order or the RAM itself? Thanks

Have you tried using the sticks individually? Do they work one at a time?

If you can get the computer to boot with the new sticks of ram(try them individual in each slot as Wolf mentioned), do a test with Memtest 86( here is an excellent guide that shows you how to test your ram with Memtest)
    .

Since you bought it over ebay, there is a possibility that he sent you "dead/bad" ram(either on purpose or just as an accident)
Was there a warranty on the ram or a DOA(dead on arrival) policy?

I did try them one by one but none worked. I've used the Memtest86 program but it seems that the computer doesnt boot up either and I cant use the program. Any ideas?

Have you made sure the ram is fully inserted? I didn't the first time I installed my extra stick of ram, and the laptop wouldn't boot.
