I bought a Sony Vaio VGN-SZ260P from PCConnection.com last year with 1GB RAM. I wanted to upgrade to 2GB, but had no idea what to buy. Also, I don't know if I have 2 512MB modules or 1 1GB module. None of the memory configurators on any of the web sites lists this particular model. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Most likely you have 2x512mb sticks, probably pc4200 or pc5300

Do a google search for "vaio memory chip". Many manufacturer websites will list the various computer models and tell what chip to use.
