    Well, I've got 2GB ram installed atm, in some setting somewhere (sorry if I'm too specific :rolleyes:) it said I could only install upto 2GB.
    I wanted to know if this was a flat rule or if theres a way to get maybe 4GB into my system
    Specs are in my sig.

    Usually, softs like sisoft Sandra or Everest can tell you the maximum amount of memory that your southbridge support. And I find that weird that it only support 2gb.

    Older laptops said 2gb max before when 2gb single sticks did not exist. Most can take 4gb just fine.

    You need to do a BIOS update for it to support 4gb max. Earlier dv models only supported 2gb and needed the bios update to unlock 4gb support.

    it can definately take up to 4gb RAM
