I've decided that I'm going to go with the Asus F8Sv-A1 laptop.
My only concerns about it are the 6cell battery pack, and the 1gb of RAM.
Now from the reviews I've read on newegg, the Intel turbo memory is located elsewhere, making room for 2x2gb of RAM? Correct?
If that is so, is the RAM I selected compatible with that laptop?
OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5400) (Newegg). I also have a sub question- how does PC5400 differ to PC5300?
My second question is how many more minutes will an 8cell battery provide over a 6cell?
ASUS Notebook Accessory 8-Cell Battery for Asus A8 Notebook (Asus), I've been told that the A8 series batteries work for the F8 series as well.
Thanks.

You do not need to buy a "kit" just get two of the same kind will save money.
5300 and 5400 are exactly the same, will run exactly the same in your system. 667MhzX8bits=5336 between 5300 and 5400 some round up some round down. Furthermore some want to insult your intelligence even more and tell you they test theirs at 675Mhz! What that has to with anything is beyond me? Pure gimmick pure crap!
Battery all else being equal an 8 cell will get you 33% more battery life than 6 cell. How am supposed to calculate a value when all I know is the number of cells? I need to know how long the 6 cell lasts to answer. People seem to say you can count on 2.5 hours (Asus) with 6 cell? So 3.3 hours, about 50 minutes more. -
I own a f8sn-c1, curious where you got that info from? from everything i read, f8 owners were "stuck" with the 6 cell battery -
