when you look at shopping.hp site to try to find what kind of RAM to use for upgrade, all you find is "1.0gb ddr2 sdram 533mhz" if you use this information only to try to search for ram you will end up with desktop ram, 240 pin instead of 200 pin. Kingston's KVR533D2S4/1g
seems to be the choice most folks make, however, kingston and hp both will tell you this is not the correct RAM for the zd8000 but through my research i find this to be what everyone is using. its quite a few $'s less than the RAM kingston actually makes for this application. probably just a good way to get more money out of us who prefer to use a hi end notebook, they just figure that if we will spend $2000 on a notebook, we will spend $550-$600 on a 2gb RAM upgrade. at least thats my opinion. i would be interested to hear from anyone who has tried the KVR533D2S4/1g and had problems with it.

JonnyPar,
Did you have a chance to buy this memory and test it, I am also interested in it for my Compaq Presario X6000 Notebook. Please let me know if you have heard anything or tried anything.
Thanks
