    RAM frequency is 1066mhz through DDR (double data rate). Dual channel just doubles the bus width

    Ill do the theoretical maths for you:

    CPU = 266mhz x Quad Pump x 8bits = 8.5gb/s peak bandwidth
    RAM = 533mhz x DDR x Dual channel x 8bits = 17gb/s peak bandwidth

    So yeah the RAM/FSB ratio is 2:1 . Its optimal at 1:1 ratio where everything is running at the same speeds.

    it's generally considered to be bad form to post a question, then edit it out if you come across an answer yourself.

    Post what you found so that others may benefit from your discoveries.
