Im going to add 1GB ram to my coming 8510p and was thinking about whether is is worth getting sort of 'branded' sticks or not??

Will it have any infuence apart from O/C?? IS IT ACTUALLY POSSIBLE TO GET SOME MORE FROM the T7300 2.0GHz ?? if yes, how and what software I need to use??

you should get the same brand/model/everything for ram when pairing them up, although it does not have to be same brand it is highly rec. especially if you OC. You can get some software to OC your cpu like clockgen or setfsb but its not worth it when ur at 2 ghz already. Plus OCing on a lappy may ruin it, which isnt worth the extra 200 mhz you could probably squeez out of it.

1.) Branded sticks don't matter much when considering laptop memory. Just get one with a lifetime warranty.
2.) I would not bother with the hassle and risk of OCing a notebook chip that's already plenty quick. Not enough of a reward to make it worthwhile in my opinion.

That seems to be the opposite of what you asked in the thread title (whether it has an influence on overclocking)

Anything hardware-related you do to your computer has an influence on overclocking. Anything that causes a single electron to be bounced around somewhere inside the case, has an influence on overclocking.

The most fundamental rule is that your overclocking ability is limited by the first piece of hardware to get unstable. It doesn't matter how high the CPU itself can overclock, if the least deviation causes the GPU to flip out. And similarly, if the RAM needs the exact standard voltages, it will likely fail during overclocking, which means it'll prevent the rest of the system from being overclocked as well.
