    Hey
I havnt really gotta clue about doing this and normally I'd just pay for someone to do it for me and get ripped off! Could someone suggest the best brand of memory and what the maximum level of ram is I could upgrade to! Also could anyone suggest somewhere in the UK to buy it, interent or shop! My laptop currently has 512mb of RAM and is incredibly slow, and won't run applications such as flight sim well at all! Also has anyone got any other suggestions as to how I could speed up my laptop without having to buy a new one! lol!

    Many thanks,

Kingston, Corsair and Crucial are all good makers of memory. Replacing/upgrading RAM is a fairly straightforward process that you can do on your own.

Aside from upgrading the RAM, you could also upgrade the HD to a 7200rpm version (Seagate and Hitachi make the best HDs). A faster HD will increase the performance of your machine.

I use Corsair, it works great. The other brands are good, as well as OCZ and G. Skill.
