    Hi everyone,

I've bought Sony Vaio VGN-A250 laptop already 7 months ago. In January I bought an extra memory so now I have got 768MB.

    My configuration is >> Centrino 1.6Ghz, 768MB, 80GB, ATI RADEON 64MB, DVD-R/RW, 15.4", WI-FI...

I am thinking about buying an extra memory, 1GB now:

Unfortunately I cant spend more than 200USD.

What do you think about this one? The only option for me is BEST BUY or Circuit City. Since I am from Europe and I will be staying in USA for only extra 2 weeks I dont want to order anything.....

Is there anything else besides RAM memory I can upgrade?

I am using this laptop primary for gaming and internet.

    Thanks for your advice!

If you're looking for cheap laptop ram check http://www.crucial.com. As far as improving performance I'd say turn off power management features (unless you're on battery and care about battery life) and get the specs on your harddrive and up the read/write ahead buffers accordingly. After that I'd run through some stability tests on the drive just to make sure.
Most of the latency of laptop usage comes from the slow drives.
