While the official stance is only 2GB, I'd be surprised if the system didn't boot with 4GB (and almost certainly 3GB total, depending on which memory slot had which 1GB or 2GB stick).
If you have a full return policy with no restocking fees, you have nothing to lose by trying this. Make sure to test the RAM fully (MEMTEST) overnight before you decide to keep it (or, let the return period lapse).
Good luck. -
Thanx ! I will search 2 GB piece of RAM with full return policy. The info for GL960 is quite controversial. It says that this chipset doesn't support FSB more than 533 MHz, but I put t7300 and it works very well on FSB 800 Mhz.

I had an Acer Aspire 4315 with the GL960. It can take 4GB. If you have a 32bit OS you're better off with 3GB as Windows won't be able to detect all 4GB.

Thanx. I have another question. GL960 supports RAM up to 667 MHz .I found RAM ddr2 sodimm on 800 Mhz. Will it work ?

800MHz RAM should automatically underclock to 667MHz.

Thanx for the answer!
