Your notebook will accept 200 pin, DDR SODIMM RAM. I believe the frequency of your current RAM is 533 MHz, and those modules can be had for a good price thse days. 533 MHz RAM may also be reffered to as PC2 4200/4300. If you currently have two modules in your ntoebook, you will have to remove at least one to upgrade to a higher amount, and if you currently have two modules, both that are 512 MB n density, then to upgrade to 2 GB, you will have to replace each 512 MB module, with a 1 GB module.

Check and see how many modules you have installed at the moment, by downloading a program called CPU-Z. It will give you details on the RAM currently installed. For manufacturers to consider buying from, look at reputable ones, like Corsair, Kingston, OCZ, G. Skill and Crucial. However, people don't seem to have problems with cheaper brands, either.

Just a quick correction, it's ddr2 ram, not ddr.

I just didnt want the guy to search everywhere for ddr1 533 memory, which doesn't exist.

Sorry, I meant to put the number 2, but must have forgot. But yes, its DDR2 SODIMM RAM that the notebook will accept.

Definitely corsair VS or the Kingston down at the bottom that's 57 bux. I dunno what's so special about the first one that has to be more than twice the price of the next product.
