I've flexed my laptop a bit (monkeying around, trying to determine what the chassis might be made of).
Is it possible to damage a laptop in a way where it emits harmful levels of electromagnetic radiation? Or are these things inherently safe and there is nothing you can do to make it emit harmful levels?
For example, in addition to flexing, if I take it apart and forget to connect a shield or something putting it back together ...
Thanks.

You can break out the tinfoil hats if you like, but no, there's nothing to worry about.

Couldn't see why you want to worry....
Wi-Fi is strong, but there is no shielding.
So, don't worry. -

If there was anything to worry about its your cell phone, it emits the same kind of stuff and you put it right next to your head. Your laptop is not going to hurt you for sure.

Unless this has changed now - about 2 years ago Wi-Fi was as powerful as the main beam on a mobile phone mast - i.e. much more powerful than a cellphone.
But: We don't see people dropping dead
so don't worry.

stronger in what way? I referring to radiation not signal strength. For all I know the laptop is worse in that too and thats what you meant but I do not care about radiation by my hands nearly as much as I do near my brain/ears/eyes. -
Yes I refer to electromagnetic field strength.

I came in for a tinfoil hat comment, and I was not disappointed...
